Our Story

Jones County Community Development Corporations History
The Jones Community Development Corporation was adopted January 19, 2006, born out
of the Jones County Voters’ League, NAACP and the realization that Jones County
residents needed an additional resource to receive and provide financial and
technical assistance for community and economic development plays a major role
in enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
Members of the Voters’ League and other involved members of the community acknowledged
the need for a community development corporation(CDC).Motivated
individuals to include Craig Barber, Elois Body, Thomas Brimage, Will Brock,
William Frost, Ramona Simmons Gonzales, Doris Harris, Chris Henderson, Earnest
Hill Jr., Beverly Hines, Sondra Riggs, Joletha White, John Simmons, and Johnny
White under the tutelage of Roy Fogle were able to effectively structure a
viable organization.
Our Mission
The Jones County Community Development Center (JCCDC) is for Community and Youth
Development. JCCDC will help the community unleash the potential of youth, adults, and
community organizations.

The Center is composed of a core staff, as well as consultants, part time staff, and operational partners across the U.S.
