2015 SUMMER CAMP AT JCCDC HAS ENDED

Our Summer Enrichment camp has finished. It was a blast! The curriculum had Rocketry, Robotics, Aerodynamics, Math, Reading, Social Studies and science. We also provided Lunch and an AM/PM snack. We did a lot of traveling. (Traveled to Washington DC, Tryon Palace, and Imaginary Station.)We also had guest speakers.
Our Summer Camp program focused on tutoring through review. Tutoring was centered on reviewing reading, and arithmetic. Our Goal was to provide an atmosphere with Lots of Love, Caring, Sharing, Learning, Good Times and Safety.

Statement of Purpose:
The purpose of the Jones County Community Development Corporation is to increase community development opportunities, improve the general welfare of the citizens, enhance educational opportunities and assist in the general improvement of our neighborhood. As a 501c (3) non profit organization, JCCDC serves as a catalyst to stimulate growth and effect change.
The Community Development Center

During the last three plus years, the current site location has undergone a massive physical change both in and out. We invite you to stop in and look at the Jones County Community building. We invite you to consider this facility for your special activities.
The Community Center has increasingly become a Hub for various community activities. We have rented the Center for:
Ø Family Reunions, Birthday Parties, Weddings, Baby Showers, Receptions, Class Reunions
Ø Sponsored a Professional Play (The Devil is a Liar), Gospel Singings
Ø The Motown Review Celebrity Sing, Car & Bike Shows
Ø Three years of Christmas parties for the children (gifts & food provided)
Ø A Magic Show, The Annual Elegant Affair Banquet,
Ø The Voter’s League Candidate Meet & Greet Forum, Fall and Spring revivals yearly,
Ø Mentoring for Change Program weekly, Summer Camps & Field Trips, Family and Friends Day,
Ø Community Thanksgiving Dinner,
Ø Meetings hosted by various community organizations (for ex. Lion’s Club, Ladies Auxiliary, Relay for Life ACS etc.)
Ø CNA Nursing Certification Class, Community Health Fair, A Prayer Breakfast, Plate Sales, Yard Sales and etc.
Ø This week we received OUR CHARTER FOR THE JONES COUNTY YOUNG MARINES.
This program will support our young girls and boys ages 8 to 18.
